I have been blogging since 2006 and I really have enjoyed it. The blogging game has changed alot over the last few years and I have decided to start changing with it. That means I’m branching out a bit and trying some new things. I’m going to work more on my YouTube Channel and starting some other online ventures.
Since I’m also working while I’m going to be doing this I have been looking
My Five Tips To Getting More Done

Tip one: Create New Days
I know this tip seems strange, but I heard it from ED Mylett on YouTube one day and thought, this could work! I tried it and it has really helped me out. What I have done is I have my work day,
Then my Mon2day starts, Mon2day only has 4 hours in it. I have to accomplish everything I need to in that 4-hour time frame. I treat these four hours like any other day. I have a list of things I need to do. I don’t think about it in terms of four hours, but a day’s worth of work. I have a 2day for each day I decide I’m going to work that week.
Does this trick always work? No, because sometimes I add a way to much to the list.
I only do these days three days a week currently. I give myself the other days to do housework, go out with friends and so on. I’ve been doing this for about two months and so far it’s worked well. I’m very happy with the results and will continue doing this.
My hope is once I can make enough to work from home I can do this every day and get so much more done.
Tip 2: Put your phone in another room
If your trying to work and
I am constantly looking at my phone if I have it close by and it does effect how much work I get done. The only time I allow my phone near me when I’m working is if it’s a day I have off and I don’t have much I need to get done or I am expecting an important call.
Keeping yourself focused on the task you need to complete is the best and fastest way to get things done. If you are not doing adding a
Tip 3: Give your family your work schedule
I am single so I don’t have to worry about this one, but if you have a family or a family that is always bothering you. Let them know the hours you plan to spend working. This way they know you will not be answering their calls or text during this time.
Create a space where you can go and lock the door as well. That way the kids can’t just barge in and create distractions. If this is impossable, example you are a single parent then schedule your time when they are sleeping or have some sort of activity.

Tip 4 Don’t get sucked into Social Media
Part of blogging does involve social media and I have found many times where I have gone to schedule my social media post only to find myself sucked into the drama or fun on Facebook. I have combated that problem by finding tools like Tailwind (For a free trial you can sign up here) and Buffer (sign up here) to keep me off of social media and actually getting work done.
I started using
Tip 5: Create a Comfortable Space
You want to like where your working, you want to be comfortable, but not too comfortable. If you have a home office and a desk, get a great chair that will support you comfortably, and allow you to work for hours at a time.
Make your workspace inviting and fun to be in. Put pictures on the wall and paint those walls bright colors that inspire and energize you. Make sure you have plenty of light in your office space as well so you don’t get tired during the day. Check out these tips on creating a great office space.
