It is the morning of September 11, 2125. The New York City police commissioner stands on the 170th floor of the Three Towers, clutching his chest in shock. The sky goes dark, filled with dozens of them—the opening attack of World War III. Not merely the planet’s third global war, but the first one of the Tek Age— a hell we have never seen before.
How did we ever get to this place?
In 2089, a former skin-runner-turned-star-reporter quietly investigates the Washington DC daylight murder of the most powerful political king-maker in the nation. It is just the tip of a wider conspiracy and the start of a chain of events leading to this world catastrophe.
The world is a very different place: Western Europe has fallen to the Islamic Caliphate, Israel is gone, Eastern Europe has merged with Russia and Beijing runs the anti-American Chinese-Indian Alliance. America is very different too. The US Constitution has been found unconstitutional and replaced, presidential term limits are gone, and the culture wars are over. The three-term American president is obsessed with keeping the nation safe at all costs—by ending religiosity. But the Resistance stands in his way.

My Review of Thy Kingdom Fall
This is an amazing book. I am so crazy about anything that is end of the world as we know it and this book fits the bill and made me want to read more and more and more. Luckily the next book is out soon! If you are a fan of movies like independence day, white house down and love a good story, you need to read this book!
What I love about this plot is that this could actually happen, it’s nothing so out there that your left thinking this would never happen why am I reading this. For me I can see it! Now I’m not huge on religion, but I do consider myself a christen and this book is even a must read for you. It’s interesting and thought provoking. You follow a few different characters in this book and little by little their intertwining life’s take shape and you see how each of them has a role to play in the big picture that is life after WWIII.
I’m not one to do spoilers but in this case I’m going to give just a bit more information then I normally would, still I will never share the ending, though in this case I can’t, this after all is only book one. What I love most about this book is how it shows you three different worlds in the future, the author did not leave anything out. You have the people who live in the tech cities, you have the religious who live in there own cities and you even have the Amish. People who live without most modern conveniences now, and who really live without in the future, but is it a good thing to maybe do without some of that crazy tech.
When you first read this book you see that the world has flipped upside down, drugs are put out into the streets by the government for the publics enjoyment, you have no idea what your ingesting and no one cares. Sex is everywhere, even more so then now. Marriage is non-existent, though were it is it can include marrying your dog, cat, vase or anything else you decide to marry. People are so plugged in to technology that they have mechanical parts instead of organic organs. It’s a crazy thrill ride of a story though and one that everyone should read.
Honestly I really can’t wait to see where the author takes this story as it’s left open at the end of the book and could really go anywhere, you just have no idea what to expect next. I’m really thinking this would make a great movie, though as always the book would be better!
You can download the kindle version for free or buy the book on Amazon!
This sound like a great read, I love a good thriller! I’m currently reading Publics: Libertas Aut Mors by Baltazar Bolado, http://baltazarbolado.net/. It’s another great thriller read; I highly recommend it! I’ll be looking in to Thy Kingdom Fall very soon, I think it’d be a great way to follow what I’m reading now . Thanks for the recommendation!
