As a crafter, it can be hard to create the look you want when you are trying to make something amazing. The good news is when it comes to your fonts for your designs there are so many different options that you are sure to find a font that will be perfect for your project.

Sending a card is making a huge comeback. According to this article on NPR.org, Millennials are buying cards more than other generations. Millennials love more personalized cards with extra touches.

The good news is you can make these types of cards yourself for your friends or family or you can even sell them on sites like Etsy or on your own online store.

The hard part will be finding the perfect font, you can do a google search for a great font or you can check out the list below. Whether you are creating a card, an invitation or wedding announcement these ten sites are sure to have what you are looking for.

10 Amazing font Sites for Your Project

FontStruct

Font struct allows you to create your own font. I love this because you could spend hours searching for the perfect font only to come up empty-handed. However, with FontStruct you can create your own fonts and have exactly what you are looking for.

You do have to sign up for an account to design your font, but it’s quick and easy. Getting the hang of the design process takes a few minutes, however, it’s not difficult and you should be able to have a font quickly.

1001 Fonts

1001 Fonts has a great selection of fonts. You can sort them by type, handwritten, light, bold and informal, just to name a few. These fonts are fun and they have some great designs. I have used them a few times when downloading fonts.

The downside is you do download each font individually, so that can be a hassle if you are looking to download multiple fonts quickly. However, it’s great if you are looking for just one or two fonts for your project.

FontSpace

FontSpace is another great site if you’re looking for individual fonts. You can sort fonts by type like you can with 1001 fonts and you can also just see what’s new by sorting by “new fonts” I love this feature as I tend to use the same fonts sites over and over. Sometimes I just want to see something new and different. This search option fits the bill nicely.

FontBundles

Font Bundles

Font Bundles is a different kind of site from all of the others I have listed up until now. They offer bundles of fonts instead of one at a time and they are a great alternative to Font Space and some of these other sites.

I really love that they offer bundles of fonts, this makes it easy to download many fonts at once and get your font collection started. You do have to pay for the font bundles, however, they do have some great free fonts that are downloaded individually.

I also love the site itself, it’s well designed and easy to get around. I love things that look great, my job is to make template websites look amazing, so I really appreciate when a site looks good, along with being easy to navigate and use. Click here to check out Font Bundles and see the design bundles for yourself.

Behance

Behance is another site that is a bit more visually appealing than some of the others listed. They do however only offer fonts separately, though they are free.

I like this site because they offer more than fonts, they have pictures and everything else you need for great craft projects. I recommend you check them out if you’re an avid crafter.

Font Squirrell

Font Squirrell is another site where you can get free fonts. Like many of the others, the fonts are downloaded individually. They also have a filter for new fonts that allows you to see newly uploaded fonts.

What I love about Font Squirrell is that they have an “identify fonts” feature. All you have to do is upload an image of a font and it will find similar or the exact font the image has.

I love this as I get a lot of images that have to be resized or updated to fit our websites where I work. Most of the time the people sending me the images have no idea what the font is. Having a tool like this is really a great feature.

FontFreak

FontFreak offers free fonts as well, however, I will say the design of the site is a bit offputting. They do have a good selection of fonts and offer a font creator.

Though many people may not stay to check out the site once you get there. It’s a very 90’s early 2000’s looking site, you do want to take the time to look it over. They really do have some amazing fonts hidden in there.

Fontasy

Fontasy has some really great fonts and I love their search options. You can search by style, A to Z, or by designer. I really like the last option because there are a few font designers that I love on other sites, but it can be so hard to find them.

Fontasy also has a font generator that you can use to create your own fonts. It’s not hard to use and after a few minutes, you should be able to create a font that is perfect for your craft project.

TypeDepot

TypeDepot is a simple font site. They don’t have a search function so you have to take the time to look over the site, however, they do have some really great fonts. The good news is they don’t have a lot and they are basic fonts.

What I really love about Type Depot is that they have a blog. That blog explains a lot about fonts and creating them. It’s worth a look just to check out all of the great information.

Pearl Trees

The last font site I have for you is Pearl Trees. This site is another site that has a bit of everything. You can create some great projects using all of the tools that Pearltrees has to offer.

This site, however, is a bit different. They have storage and sharing options. this is a great choice if you’re looking to do more digital content. However, the font collection is amazing and is great for any craft project you may have.

I hope that this small list of font sites will help you find what you need for your next project. For me finding the perfect font is the hardest part of what I do. This list, of course, is not an end-all list, but it should help you get started on finding the perfect font.
